Personality & Traits

General Overview Micah is the stereotypical "nerd." That is to say he's quite intelligent, but "terrible with the ladies" as the saying goes. Though he had plenty of opportunity growing up to spend time with others, he often found himself with his own thoughts and activities. This concept has continued on into adulthood. Though he is a capable team player, he finds that he prefers to work alone. Its not that he doesn't necessarily like people, he just suffers from a perfectionist side of obsessive compulsive disorder. He is slowly forcing himself into awkward situations to get used to the concept. So far, he has been able to gain advancement on the merits of his intelligence, but to truly get ahead in the galaxy, he will have to be able to mingle. He's working on it.

+Above Average Marksman
+Possesses a Clear Head and logical mind
+Excellent Multi-tasker

- Socially Awkward
- Introverted (not necessarily the best thing on a ship)
Ambitions Micah wants to recreate the positronic net developed by Soongh, but has thus far been unsuccessful. He's still working on it and is quite optimistic about its future outcome.
Hobbies & Interests Tinkering, especially with his pet project (the positronic net). He also enjoys creating holo-novels set in a medieval fantasy world.

Personal History Micah comes from a long line of Starfleet officers, with a little twist thrown in. Born in 2370 in Ireland, Micah grew up around the restaurant that was owned by his family. Maggie's Tavern, opened in 1922, had been owned and operated by a tradition of women from his mother's side of the family. In 2367, the tavern was officially handed down to his mother, Maggie, named for the original twentieth century namesake, Maggie O'Malley. Growing up, Micah learned a lot about what a good work ethic was. By 2382, it was supplemented by daily workout regimen as directed by his grandmother, who had retired to be with her family. This provided a solid foundation for what would later become his Starfleet career.

During secondary school, Micah began to become interested in computer systems. Almost as soon as he received his first personal computer, he learned to take I apart and put it back together again. For a time, it was almost more important to him than what he did on the computer. But that quickly changed as he got older and learned more about what was going on in Starfleet. Though he was not privy to specifics, he always tried to keep abreast of all happenings within Starfleet and the Federation. While computers were his passion, politics also interested him. Though he never planned to make a career out of it, the intricacies and over-arching concepts fascinated him.

During his junior and senior years of secondary school, he participated in an internship at the Starfleet Corps of engineers, where his father was stationed. He learned basic techniques of repairing general systems, such as replicators, communications consoles, and computer cores, all devices that had public access. It was a fascinating experience for him, learning some of the in and outs of life on a starship. It gave him a small taste of what was in store for him in his intended future. Obviously, he planned to go for Starfleet since practically his entire family at some point served.
